Its Friday! I am so happy... Dance practice has me hurting (but that's a good thing)....

I wish I was in love today... its just so gorgeous out, and this weekend is going to be beautiful as well... what does being in love have anything to do with it? Well all I know is that it would make this Friday 10 times better... doesn't love do that? or maybe I should stop listening to this Luis Fonsi song over and over (me doy por vencido)... Then again I am currently in love with life.

I must vent: What is up with guys wearing super tight jeans? This is a horrible trend and someone needs to stop it. Fitted jeans are great, but not TIGHT JEANS. Its uncomfortable to watch, and just think of your family jewels... tsk tsk men.

Mango-me Crazy!

I went to the Absolut Vodka Mango taste it party last night, and it was dope! After a long day with many stressful factors this was a nice way to end my Wednesday.

The people were either fabulous or ridiculously dressed, and the drinks were amazing! I suggest everyone go out there and get themselves a Mango flavored vodka... I def will (for Costa Rica of course).

Can I just share that I had to run from my job back to the Y to change... and I had to do my hair next to a sauna (literally there was a sauna next to the mirrors) and so every time I made it straight it went back to puffy... so I said oh! well! lets just work with this super volumized hair and pretend it looks great (confidence is everything guys).

But I got a few compliments and I def enjoyed myself. The jokes were off the wall (Mr. Fort haha) and the mango's were sweet! I had to take two for myself.

My big news...

Hello world... since I can't scream it from the roof tops of NYC I'll write it on my blog for you all to read...

And so yesterday I wrote about how blessed I am and today I share the news that I have received an amazing opportunity to work for People en Espanol.... yes... the #1 Latino magazine in the U.S. I am really astounded by this... speechless. Yes Me, speechless. But most of all thankful. I hope that everyone else out there that wishes to do something that is important to them goes for it and doesn't give up... I've wanted to be in a magazine setting since I was 17---- that's 5 years trying and not getting anything... and I mean writing to editors who never wrote back, interviewing with other magazines who were extremely unprofessional and even randomly meeting an editor from Rolling Stone on my way back from LA (he sat next to me) and... well let me just end it there and say: If you have faith don't let it fall off your daily thoughts...

Crossing my fingers that all goes well.

Blessed

I am super blessed. I am simply eternally thankful to the people that God has introduced me to. I don't even know how else to put it. I happen to be at the right time at the right places, and I keep meeting the right people... with the positive energy and outlook on life that I continue to build on.

I am simply in awe of the amazing things that seem to be happening... self manifesting.

I have been given an amazing opportunity and God knows I cannot begin to thank her enough for allowing me to prove myself... big shout out to Carlos from Cali who really set me in the right path ( I owe you a hug a drink and a salsa dance).

On other news I am going to COSTA RICA in June with 9 of my girlfriends (jmo here we come)!! Super excited ... and thus begins my bigger motivation to really get in shape for the bikini season that will be revealed... NO FB IN CR!

So I went shopping for some pants with my friend and we go into forever 21 on 14 and its close to closing time... I go up to one of the guys that works there and I'm like hey where can i find a skirt or pants, he says upstairs... but its closed. So I'm like damn ok cool. He then goes on to say, if you want I'll sneak you upstairs... haha
My friend goes, well look at that. I'm like, what?! ... his answer: You are like the only person I know that people go out of there way for, and you don't even try you just smile and bam people are just attracted to your energy...

I never thought of that... but I must say for the most part I'm lucky like that... or I should say blessed.

For being so excited about having a day off... Whoever works with inner city children under the age of 12 know what I mean when I say that patience is truly an art that can only be mastered with maturity and meditation. Casi me pongo en una esquina y me saco los cabellos... ah... sigh... not today my friends, not today. So many people on the trains of NYC look like regular civilians and in actuality they are out of their minds... some are literally crazy. A Schizophrenic had a loud argument with himself today in english and in colombian spanish... bendito sea jesus, I felt so bad for him. And then the fear that he might spaz on me and grab me made me feel worse... Sometimes I wonder how life would have been if I would have been raised in Spain or in Venezuela... but as of right now I won't change my Obama. Not even for some milk and cookies. Con un cansancio. Sour Patch! snow.

I didn't have to go into work today! Idk about you but sleeping is the best thing ever... ever. =)

So my horoscope was on point, I had a great time. I swear there is something about being away from the city for a couple of days that leaves you re-freshed and ready to jump start your week ... But this random snow storm was just amazing. Thank you sweet lord baby Jesus.

So a couple of things that came up this weekend...
1. You should always give someone a fair shot at getting to know them before writing them off as a jerk or w.e. your choice of word may be.
2. Men are a lot like women, even in their 30s, so ladies stop stressing yourselves they are not that hard to please and keep... seriously.
3. Romance happens randomly so be random!


I read this "hate" blog for Latino greeks. Very sad. I can joke around and say things here and there (I think we are all guilty of that) but to really be so disrespectful and not have the balls to own up to it is simply hypocritical. This is why I hang out with a select few. Disturbing to say the least.
