Warning... angry post

What is up with men being such ass*oles about women's rears? Huh? Someone explain that to me.

No, I do not have a huge set of buns. Sorry world, Sorry men. Are you kidding me? Seriously?

As a Latina female who was not born in this country, I had some body image issue to always deal with growing up in NYC. When I was 13 I wanted to be shorter because I thought guys only wanted short girls, it took me a while to appreciate the fact that yes I was taller than all my girl friends and yes when I want reach for the cute shirt at the top of a wall I could.

Then when I was 18 and a freshman in college my girls encouraged me to try out for the annual modeling show, and guess what, the lady took my measurements and I wasn't skinny enough, I wasn't tall enough and ... is your hair really curly? (yes she asked that).

At 16 I wasn't thick enough, at 20 I wasn't skinny enough... And now at 22, I am neither. Now I hear your ass isn't big enough. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Excuse me. EARTH TO MEN: I would love for you all to walk around naked and then maybe us women can tell you: Oh your Johnny downtown isn't big/thick/skinny/long enough. How is that for a change? The damn scrutiny needs to stop. A guy actually told me, "You are Latina you're supposed to have a big ass", well Sir, not all of us are built like JLO or Vida Guerra. Some of us have other nice things, like legs, blossoms, hands, hair, eyes, eye lashes, stomach, knees, ankles... It is not all about the ass. SO GET OVER IT.

I can completely understand the fact that we all have standards *physically and emotionally* that need to be met, I am okay with that. But do me a favor, and I speak for myself, if you wish to date me and think it will happen don't expect my rear to grow immensely over night go talk to the shorty down the block. I will no longer feel less Latina, or less attractive because my ass doesn't stop traffic, I have other assets that make me a woman.

So men, if you're thing is green eyes don't bash the girl you're dating for having brown ones (you chose her as she chose you).

Wtf.

Ahhhh.

Fan.

OUCH!!! Well at the risk of being bashed I will post anyway.

I think you forgot a few other beautiful things women posses. Say Freckles (maybe that's just me) Smile,Lips, Hands (again maybe just me). But lets take it further than that, how about strength of character that I'm sorry to say many of us Men do not posses. Perhaps, a mystique that drives men world-wide nuts. How about the ability to be nurturing?

I think you have been jaded by your encounters with the average Joe, who lives in the physical world and never in the translucence of a spiritual world.

Lastly, if a man is complaining about you not having green eyes or straight hair or enough bosom, he is definitely missing the essence of the woman.

Never lower your standards. Heck I say raise them make them climb the latter.

Sinceramente,

J

I like dimples lol and I'm a sucker for a pretty face and if you got a college degree to go along with that OMG lol (its true).. There's 3 things in my book Mind Body and Soul ...

I'm a lil surprised it even affected you.. as a taurus female.. I would assume your to strong and confident to care about silly imature words like that.

As far as "hommies" comment , if dude is only stimulated by what he see's then that person must be real boring to talk to lol... my suggestion? move foward.. there's plenty of features guys would melt over... one dude does not represent all of us.

I think both of you misunderstood what I wanted to say...

but my main point is that joking or talking about physical attributes in a negative way to a male or female is not good (for lack of a better word). I am perfectly happy with how I look, for every one negative comment I get 10 good ones. But of course a negative one stings, specially if it comes from someone you like (romantically or not).

haha I never said I was dating anyone who said things like this... I don't have SDB syndrome.
